Blue Suede Shoes - Elvis

This uses an extended blues chord sequence. A good follow on from Rockin' all over the world.

A simplified version of the music is printed below. The lower part could be played by bass guitar and low keyboards, xylophones etc. The upper part on keyboards or tuned percussion. A drum kit is really needed to give this some 'zip'. Use the simple 8 beat pattern which is discussed on 'Rockin all over the world'. On the verses, the drum kit should follow the rhythm given in the music printed below.

The first section, with the lyrics printed :

Here are the other two verses. The lyrics for these are printed below.

Lyrics for verses
You can knock me down
step on my face
slander my name all over the place
do anything that you want me to
but uh uh honey lay off of my shoes
and don't you....etc.

 Burn my house
steal my car
drink my liquor from an old fruit jar
do anything that you want me to
but uh uh honey lay off of my shoes
and don't you....etc.
