This is a popular melody from the Andes which was popularised by Simon and Garfunkel.  It works well on any instruments but especially well with recorders and flutes playing the melody.  The 2nd section may need taking down an octave for violins etc.

A steady beat is needed on a bass drum - this is common in Andean music.
Notice the minor key with frequent uses of major harmony - a feature of this type of music.
